Get some culture this Christmas!

There's so much to do in December.
Choosing the right presents, writing Christmas cards, putting up decorations, getting in touch with old friends, stocking the fridge, tidying the home before your auntie arrives, forgetting to buy stamps day after day, pretending to like listening to Mariah Carey on an hourly basis, preparing your taste buds for the annual portion of sprouts, struggling to maintain a healthy lifestyle whilst there are Quality Street in every room, and countless other responsibilities to make this season the most festive one yet.
On top of that there are so many amazing events! You may have been to the big lights switch-on, visited Santa at Princes Quay, taken part in Prospect Centre's 12 Days of Prospect, grabbed a bargain at the market stalls outside St Stephen's, and hopefully put time aside for the Live Nativity on Saturday 20th as it makes its way from NAPA to Holy Trinity Church, but don't forget that Hull's many museums and libraries have lots to offer too. (We're the UK City of Culture; there's always time to expand your mind before bedtime.)
From stunning wildlife photography and epic landscapes in the 79 Degrees North exhibition (pictured) at the Maritime Museum, to When the War Hit Home at the Ferens Art Gallery, there are plenty of opportunities to discover more about your city and its place in the world, all while having fun in the process. And don't forget that all of Hull's museums and libraries are family-friendly, easily accessible and completely free to enter.
