Feed the fishies!

With sharks, rays, 3,500 fish and a bunch of playful penguins, it's no wonder that The Deep always proves a fantastic day out for all ages. Taking a walk around this spectacular submarium fuels the mind and the imagination, perfectly finished off with lunch in the Observatory Cafe, which offers unbeatable views over Hull and the Humber.

You may have been to The Deep before and another visit is always an excellent idea, but have you heard of The Deep Experience? This is a morning with a difference that's ideal for those with a true love of the marine world. The cost is £75 per person (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult) or £125 for two people (attending together). As well as lunch to the value of £7 and your souvenir T-shirt and guide book, parking for the day is free. Booking in advance is essential.

Throughout your visit you will be accompanied by an experienced Deep guide, sharing a wealth of knowledge about the creatures in the tanks as well as The Deep itself. You will be involved with cleaning the tanks, handling inhabitants of Discovery Corner and feeding some of the animals. You'll also see a small part of the filtration plant, which keeps the water in tip-top condition, and discover some of the areas not usually accessed by the public. Your personal guided tour will take in all of the attraction and you'll even try on some dive kit for a photo opportunity, so don't forget your camera!
